I think this one is a very elegant vintage piece. My favorite thing is the many colors as you move it around. At first glance it appears brown like a dachshund would be but it’s metallic and silvery depending on the angle of the light. Under the silver sheen is hints of bronzy purple. A great piece for anyone who likes to collect dachshunds or who just love unique salt and pepper shakers.
This is an item from my grandmothers collection that I am guessing is from the early 50’s. It has a silver sticker on the bottom for G Nov. Co.
It’s a single unit measuring 8.5 inches nose to tail and 2.5 inches high at the head. He has two holes on the head and 3 holes on the rear. Has two original cork stoppers.
